It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Foard had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the East Burke Cavaliers. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Tigers also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2020.

Foard not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept East Burke between 16 and 17 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-17, 25-16.

When it comes to explaining why East Burke lost, don't look at Hermione Garro. Despite the final result, she had 12 digs. Garro is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Foard is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-10 record this season. As for East Burke, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-17.

Coming up, Foard will take on Ashe County at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. East Burke does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
