Soccer Recap: Ripon Christian Comes Up Short

Ripon Christian lost against Central Valley Christian back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Knights came up short against the Cavaliers, falling 5-1. While losing is never fun, Ripon Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 328th, while Central Valley Christian are ranked 69th).

Ripon Christian's goal came courtesy of Alanna Blanco, who's now up to three this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Ripon Christian and nudges their season record down to 4-3-1. As for Central Valley Christian, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-2.

Ripon Christian didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 4-1 defeat against Kingsburg on the 13th. Central Valley Christian will take on Mission Oak in a holiday battle at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
