Eastlake extended their home winning streak to 11 games dating back to last season thanks to a huge performance from Tristan Anderson-Edmond. The Eastlake Falcons had just enough and edged the Coronado Thunderbirds out 49-47 thanks in part to Anderson-Edmond, who went 8 for 13 on his way to 24 points. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in blocks (two).
Despite the loss, Coronado still got an impressive performance from Roberto Lopez, who went 5 of 12 on his way to 16 points and five rebounds. Lopez continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Noah Lozano was another key player, putting up ten points.
Eastlake is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season. As for Coronado, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-6.
Eastlake wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 56-49 victory against Immanuel Christian on the 11th. As for Coronado, they will head out to challenge Franklin at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
