Soccer Recap: Northwood-Kensett Comes Up Short

After flying high against Charles City last Friday, Northwood-Kensett came back down to earth. The Vikings took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Roosevelt Roughriders on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Northwood-Kensett can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa soccer rankings (they are ranked 94th, while Roosevelt are ranked sixth).

Northwood-Kensett's loss dropped their record down to 6-10-2. As for Roosevelt, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 18-0-1.

Northwood-Kensett does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Roosevelt, they have already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Central Springs on the 27th.
