Football Recap: Emporia Takes a Loss + How To Watch

After soaring to 50 points the game before, Emporia was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They were just a hair shy of victory and fell 13-12 to the Topeka Trojans. The Spartans gained 65 more yards on the day, but it was the Trojans that made the best use of them.

Grady Howe threw for 80 yards and one touchdown. On the ground, Oliver Kline rushed for 87 yards.

Emporia's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Topeka, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.

Emporia wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 41-6 loss against Manhattan on the 3rd. As for Topeka, they have also already played their next matchup, a 35-6 defeat against Washburn Rural on the 3rd.
