Soccer Recap: Los Gatos Takes a Loss

Los Gatos entered their match against Leigh on Monday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Los Gatos Wildcats might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the Leigh Longhorns an easy 3-0 victory. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 264th, while the Longhorns are ranked 39th).

Los Gatos suffered their first home loss, dropping their record down to 2-2-3. As for Leigh, the win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0-1.

Los Gatos didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 3-1 victory against Aptos on the 19th. As for Leigh, they are taking a road trip to challenge Presentation at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Leigh is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.6 goals per game this season.
