Soccer Recap: Lakeside Comes Up Short

Lakeside was the 3-0 winner over Perris when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Lakeside Lancers fell just short of the Perris Panthers by a score of 1-0 on Tuesday. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Lancers haven't been shut out since back in December of 2024.

Lakeside now has a losing record at 4-5-2. As for Perris, they moved to 5-7 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lakeside will take on Moreno Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lakeside's last three matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Perris, they will face off against Citrus Hill at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Perris' offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for five straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.
