Baseball Recap: Caro Takes a Loss

Caro suffered their closest loss since April 9th on Friday. They fell just short of the Lapeer Lightning by a score of 5-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lightning this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 1-0 on Friday.

Caro saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Xander Grice, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

This is the second loss in a row for Caro and nudges their season record down to 17-11. Even worse, they were so close both times: the defeats came by an average of only 1.5 runs. As for Lapeer, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season.

Caro will square off against Cass City at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lapeer does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
