Baseball Recap: Southeast Whitfield County Takes a Loss

Southeast Whitfield County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss. They came up short against the Dalton Catamounts, falling 17-3. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Catamounts this season, with their most recent defeat being a 7-2 loss on Tuesday.

Ethan Hampton made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one triple and one run.

Southeast Whitfield County's defeat dropped their record down to 4-20. As for Dalton, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 15 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Southeast Whitfield County will take on Cartersville at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Dalton, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against East Hamilton at 7:30 p.m. The timing is sure in the Catamounts' favor as the team sits on five straight wins at home while the Hurricanes have been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
