Soccer Game Preview: Dunlap vs. Normal West

The Dunlap Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Normal West Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Dunlap's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They came out on top against Washington by a score of 2-0. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but Dunlap were the better team in the second half.

Meanwhile, Normal West put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their undefeated season alive. They were the clear victors by a 9-0 margin over Pekin. The result was nothing new for Normal West, who have now won eight matchups by four goals or more so far this season.

Dunlap's win bumped their record up to 11-2-2. As for Normal West, their victory bumped their record up to 13-0-1.

Everything went Dunlap's way against Normal West when the teams last played back in September of 2024, as Dunlap made off with a 5-1 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
