Vintage entered their tilt with Petaluma on Saturday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Petaluma Trojans 53-51. For the Crushers, this counts as revenge for the 58-41 victory the Trojans walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2024.

Vintage's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ashley Gerenser led the charge by going 5 of 8 on her way to 13 points. Gerenser has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last six times she's played. Elinor Travers was another key player, dropping a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds.

Vintage was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Vintage's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-8. As for Petaluma, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Vintage will head out to take on Sonoma Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Petaluma, they will venture away from home to face off against Casa Grande at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
