It was a good run, but Rancho Cotate unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a blow against the Cardinal Newman Cardinals, falling 64-21. Surprisingly, this marked the fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor in this series.

Rancho Cotate's defeat dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Cardinal Newman, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season.
