Basketball Recap: Williamson Takes a Loss

Williamson lost a heartbreaker to Austin when they met back in December of 2019, and they left with a heavy heart again on Saturday. The Warriors lost 43-17 to the Panthers. The defeat continues a trend for the Warriors in their meetings with the Panthers: they've now lost three in a row.

Aubrey Wells was Williamson's leading scorer, having posted seven points. Kenna Thomas held things down on the boards with eight rebounds. Alexis Sprague took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.

Williamson's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Looking ahead, Williamson is headed away from home for the first time to face off against Towanda at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Austin, they have already played their next game, a 45-34 defeat against Otto-Eldred on the 8th.
