Softball Recap: Pope Takes a Loss

Pope suffered their closest loss since August 26th on Tuesday. They fell just short of the River Ridge Knights by a score of 3-1. The Greyhounds were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Knights earlier this season, when they won 5-4.

Pope's defeat dropped their record down to 14-10. As for River Ridge, they pushed their record up to 11-10 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

Looking ahead, Pope will face off against Blessed Trinity at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for River Ridge, they will take on Creekview at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Grizzlies' pitching crew has only allowed 2.6 runs per game this season, so the Knights' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
