Basketball Recap: Northern Cambria Colts vs. Cambria Heights Highlanders

Northern Cambria was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 17th straight loss. They were dealt a 52-21 defeat at the hands of the Cambria Heights Highlanders. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Colts this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 69-12 back in December of 2024.

Sienna Kirsch was her usual excellent self, almost dropping a triple-double on 17 points, 16 rebounds, and nine steals for Cambria Heights. Kirsch is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 28 games she's played dating back to last season. Gracey Vinglish was another key player, going 6 for 14 en route to 14 points along with eight boards and three steals.

Northern Cambria's loss dropped their record down to 0-17. As for Cambria Heights, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 14-5.

Northern Cambria will head out to take on Conemaugh Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Cambria Heights, they will host Portage at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Cambria Heights is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.1 points per game this season.
