Football Recap: Arete Prep Falls to Glendale Prep Academy in First Game of Season

Arete Prep had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They were beaten by the Glendale Prep Academy Griffins 49-0 on Friday. The CHARGERS lost against the Griffins in their previous head to head back in September of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 24-14 score last time.

Joshua McHale had a dynamite game For Glendale Prep Academy., throwing for 142 yards and three TDs while completing 73.3% of his passes, and also rushing for 84 yards and one score on only 11 carries.

Arete Prep will take on ALA - Mesa North at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Glendale Prep Academy, they will challenge Antelope at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Griffins' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
