Soccer Game Preview: Knoxville vs. Albia

Knoxville is 7-2 against Albia since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Panthers will welcome the Blue Demons at 7:00 p.m. Knoxville's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Knoxville fell victim to Oskaloosa and their airtight defense on Monday. They fell just short of the Indians by a score of 1-0. The loss put an end to Knoxville's undefeated start to the season.

Meanwhile, Albia also failed to score in their most recent game. They came up short against Pella Christian on Friday, falling 9-0. Albia have struggled against Pella Christian recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Having lost for the first time this season, Knoxville fell to 0-1-2. As for Albia, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Everything went Knoxville's way against Albia in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Knoxville made off with a 7-2 win. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Blue Demons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
