Basketball Recap: Frankford Makes It Eight in a Row on the Road

Frankford had won seven straight road games and Janeliss Laboy did her part to make it eight on Thursday. The Frankford Pioneers breezed by the Northeast Vikings to the tune of 51-13 thanks in part to Laboy, who almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine boards. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last six games she's played.

Another player making a difference was Nakyra Harris, who posted two points and three steals. That's the most steals she has posted since back in December of 2024.

Frankford's win bumped their record up to 15-2. As for Northeast, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-12.

Frankford and St. Hubert Catholic for Girls will face off at 5:30 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. As for Northeast, they and Franklin Learning Center will face off at 3:15 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. Franklin Learning Center will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Northeast surely won't give up without a fight.
