Soccer Game Preview: Streamwood vs. Boylan Catholic

The Streamwood Sabres will venture away from home to square off against the Boylan Catholic Titans at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Streamwood comes in on five and Boylan Catholic on 13.

Streamwood is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over Geneva.

Josue Lopez and Emiliano Bermudez scored all three of Streamwood's goals, bringing their combined season tally to eight goals.

Meanwhile, Boylan Catholic kept a clean sheet against Central on Saturday. They came out on top against the Rockets by a score of 2-0. Boylan Catholic's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last five contests.

The victory got Streamwood back to even at 10-10. As for Boylan Catholic, their win bumped their record up to 19-2-1.

Streamwood beat Boylan Catholic 2-0 when the teams last played back in August of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Sabres since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
