Baseball Recap: Kokomo Comes Up Short

Kokomo had lost three straight on the road, but on Thursday they dropped down to 7-17 to make it four. They came up short against the Lebanon Tigers, falling 15-5. The Wildkats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2025.

Kokomo saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Adam Sarota, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base and one RBI.

As for Lebanon, their record is now 10-16. The high-scoring effort was just what they needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

On Lebanon's side, Chris Hill was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. What's more, Hill posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in April. Another player making a difference was Andrew Gosewehr, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and two RBI.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kokomo will square off against Twin Lakes at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wildkats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Indians have averaged an impressive 7.2 runs per game this season. As for Lebanon, they will face off against Western Boone at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
