Basketball Recap: Gertz-Ressler's Win Ends Seven-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Gertz-Ressler lost to USC Hybrid back in January, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Gertz-Ressler Pumas walked away with a 15-7 win over the USC Hybrid Trojans. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Pumas.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Gertz-Ressler to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jasmin Garcia, who posted three points and seven steals.

Gertz-Ressler's victory ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-1. As for USC Hybrid, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Gertz-Ressler wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 23-15 win against Elizabeth on the 9th. As for USC Hybrid, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Neuwirth Leadership Academy at 5:00 p.m. on January 9, 2025.
