Baseball Game Preview: Miller County Pirates vs. Early County Bobcats

The Miller County Pirates will head out on the road to square off against the Early County Bobcats at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Miller County is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.5 runs per game this season.

Miller County had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Early County on Tuesday. Miller County blew past Early County 12-2. The Pirates haven't had any issues with the Bobcats recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Miller County let Kolby Yates and Creek Durden run wild. Yates scored two runs and stole Four bases. while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances, while Durden went 3-for-4 with five RBI. Miller County is 2-1 when Yates posts two or more runs, but 1-2 otherwise. Hezekiah Judkins also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Miller County always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .636. The last time their OBP was this high was back in March of 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for Early County and nudges their season record down to 5-3. As for Miller County, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.
