Basketball Recap: Fallbrook Extends Home Winning Streak to Nine

Fallbrook had won eight straight home games dating back to last season and Grace Nordeen did her part to make it nine on Thursday. In a tight matchup that could have gone either way, the Fallbrook Warriors made off with a 51-50 win over the Carlsbad Lancers thanks in part to Nordeen, who dropped a double-double on 29 points and 14 boards. She has been hot for a while, having posted eight or more rebounds the last 41 times she's played.

The team also got some help courtesy of Janice Garcia, who posted nine points in addition to seven rebounds and four steals. That's the most steals she has posted since back in January.

Fallbrook's record is now 7-2. As for Carlsbad, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.

Fallbrook and Chaparral will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Fallbrook is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.3 points per game this season. Carlsbad will take on Westview in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Westview will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Carlsbad surely won't give up without a fight.
