Basketball Recap: Abington Takes a Loss

If Abington was feeling good fresh off their 54-20 takedown of Hatboro-Horsham last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Abington Galloping Ghosts might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the Upper Dublin Cardinals an easy 67-45 victory. While losing is never fun, the Galloping Ghosts can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 179th, while the Cardinals are ranked 33rd).

Abington's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Upper Dublin, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-1.

Abington and Wissahickon will compete for holiday cheer at 1:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Upper Dublin, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Upper Dublin Cardinals take on the Lower Moreland Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
