Football Recap: St. David's Has No Trouble Against Wake Christian Academy

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Arendell Parrott Academy, St. David was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 28-12 win over the Wake Christian Academy Bulldogs.

Among those leading the charge was Spence Saik, who threw for 73 yards and three TDs, and also rushed for 56 yards on only six carries. He has become a key player for St. David's: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least three passing touchdowns, but 2-4 otherwise.

Although Wake Christian Academy took the loss, they still got scores from Trace Turner and Brady Stiltner.

St. David's victory bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Wake Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 4-5.

St. David's wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 54-19 defeat against Cary Christian on the 31st. As for Wake Christian Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 34-30 loss against Pungo Christian Academy on the 31st.
