Basketball Game Preview: Jersey Shore Bulldogs vs. Central Mountain Wildcats

The Jersey Shore Bulldogs are taking a road trip to square off against the Central Mountain Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Jersey Shore will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

On Wednesday, Jersey Shore didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Selinsgrove, but they still walked away with a 43-39 victory. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 104th, while the Seals are ranked 216th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Central Mountain waltzed into their game on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Ironmen by a score of 53-42.

Jersey Shore's win was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-3. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.3 points per game. As for Central Mountain, they now have a winning record of 7-6.

Jersey Shore strolled past Central Mountain in their previous meeting on January 7th by a score of 59-42. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Central Mountain's Camdyn Weaver, who went 9 of 13 on her way to 23 points along with six boards and five assists.
