Soccer Recap: Torres Gets the Win

Torres's game last Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Selma Bears a 7-0 shutout. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Toros considering their one-goal performance the game before.

Torres' win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Selma, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-5.

Torres will head out to face off against Lemoore at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Lemoore's last four matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Selma, they will be home for the holidays to greet Hanford at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hanford will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Selma surely won't give up without a fight.
