Recap: Sonora Wildcats vs. Millennium Falcons
On Thursday, Sonora wrapped up 2023 with a 48-32 win over Millennium.
Sonora's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Adeline Hanson, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 rebounds. The match was Hanson's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Taylor Faught was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with nine rebounds.
Sonora now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Millennium, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season.
Sonora will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Downey at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Downey is on a five-game streak of home losses, Sonora a three-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. Millennium is on the road again on Friday and play against Central Valley at 2:00 p.m. on December 29, 2023. Central Valley aren't just struggling at home either: they haven't won a game anywhere since December 8, 2023.
