Basketball Game Preview: West Campus Warriors vs. Orestimba Warriors

West Campus will take on Orestimba at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. West Campus will be looking to extend their current 15-game winning streak.

Last Friday, West Campus was fully in charge, breezing past Burbank 74-22. The Warriors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 15 games by 23 points or more this season.

West Campus' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Esabel Otsuji, who dropped a double-double with 29 points and 11 steals. The match was Otsuji's tenth in a row with at least 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Loismary Justice, who dropped a double-double with 20 points and ten boards.

Meanwhile, Orestimba suffered their biggest defeat since February 13, 2024 on Thursday. They were outmatched by Escalon and fell 63-19. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the Warriors' biggest loss of the season was also their lowest-scoring.

West Campus will have to contain Olivia Gray as she made an impact in Orestimba's last game. She posted eight points.

West Campus' victory was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 22-4. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 22.0 points over those games. As for Orestimba, their loss dropped their record down to 14-12.

This contest is shaping up to be a blowout: West Campus hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 55.8 points per game. It's a different story for Orestimba, though, as they've been averaging only 34.6 points. The only thing between West Campus and another offensive beatdown is Orestimba. Will they be able to keep them contained?

Everything came up roses for West Campus against Orestimba when the teams last played back in February of 2017, as the team secured a 73-11 win. In that contest, West Campus amassed a halftime lead of 41-6, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Tuesday.
