Softball Recap: Platte Valley Takes a Loss + How To Watch

After flying high against Greeley Central on Friday, Platte Valley came back down to earth. The Broncos fell just short of The Academy Wildcats by a score of 10-9 on Friday. The defeat continues a trend for the Broncos in their meetings with the Wildcats: they've now lost four in a row.

Alyssa Kendrick was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Another player making a difference was Sydney Meyer, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Platte Valley's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for The Academy, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Coincidentally, Platte Valley and The Academy will both be playing Woodland Park the next time they take the field. The Broncos will host the Panthers at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Wildcats will play them later in the day, at 1:00 p.m.
