Pius X won the last time they faced Standing Bear and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Thunderbolts came out on top against the Grizzlies by a score of 5-1.

Adee Duggan spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up eight Ks.

At the plate, Pius X's victory was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Kendal Heimes, who went 1-for-4 with two runs and one double. Another was Taylor Heimes, who got on base in two of her three plate appearances with two runs.

Pius X hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post two or more strikeouts.

Pius X's win bumped their record up to 9-12. As for Standing Bear, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-12.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pius X will challenge Fremont at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Standing Bear, they will take on Lincoln Northwest at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
