Soccer Recap: Valley Snaps Four-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

After low-scoring totals in their previous six contests, Valley brought some dynamite into their most recent matchup. Their defense stepped up to hand the Foothill Mustangs a 5-0 shutout on Tuesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Vikings also won the last time the pair played back in January.

They hit Foothill with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Jocelyn Arriaga (2), Rubi Cabral (2), and Mariana Aguirre.

Valley's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-6. As for Foothill, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Valley will be home for the holidays to greet Fairfield at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Foothill and West Campus will compete for holiday cheer at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. West Campus will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more goals each contest than the last.
