Baseball Recap: David Emanuel Academy Takes a Loss

David Emanuel Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 17-1 to the Trinity Christian Crusaders. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 10-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2015.

David Emanuel Academy saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sailor Powell, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. David Emanuel Academy will head out to challenge Jenkins County at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Jenkins County has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed ten runs per game on average), something David Emanuel Academy will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Trinity Christian, they are headed away from home for the first time to take on Robert Toombs Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
