Martin beats Grand Prairie for their fifth straight win

The Martin Warriors had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 30.3 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They blew past Grand Prairie, posting a 58-10 win at home. The result was nothing new for Martin, who have now won three matchups by 27 points or more so far this season.

Leading Martin to victory were Daylon Cobb and Brooks Briggance. Cobb rushed for 113 yards and three touchdowns on only six carries, while Briggance threw for 201 yards and three touchdowns while completing 87.5% of his passes. Another player making a difference was Alex Mathiesen, who rushed for 56 yards and a touchdown.

Martin's victory was their third straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 5-3. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 30 points. As for Grand Prairie, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-9.

Martin will head out on the road to face off against Arlington at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Grand Prairie, they will be playing at home against Sam Houston at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Sam Houston comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
