Recap: Sierra Timberwolves vs. Kimball Jaguars

After a string of four wins, the Sierra Timberwolves's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They took a hard 59-41 fall against Kimball. Sierra lost against Kimball in their previous head to head back in February of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 56-45 score last time.

Despite the loss, Sierra still got an impressive performance from Abigail Chapman, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 14 rebounds. Those 14 rebounds set a new season-high mark for her. Mya Everett was another key contributor, scoring six points along with three blocks.

Sierra's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-7. As for Kimball, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sierra will challenge East Union at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. East Union will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak alive. As for Kimball, they will head out on the road to face off against Acalanes at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Acalanes presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Kimball in California (Acalanes is ranked 28th, while Kimball is ranked 291st).
