Basketball Game Preview: Greensburg Salem Golden Lions vs. Kiski Area Cavaliers

Greensburg Salem is 0-3 against Kiski Area since December of 2019 but things could change on Thursday. The Greensburg Salem Golden Lions will host the Kiski Area Cavaliers at 7:30 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Greensburg Salem will head into Monday's game on the come-up: they were handed a 23-point defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past McKeesport 38-36. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Golden Lions have posted since December 22, 2023.

Greensburg Salem got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Regan Kerr out in front who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds. That's the most points Kerr has posted since back in December of 2023. Patty Redinger was another key player, putting up five points in addition to five assists and three steals.

Kiski Area pushed their record up to 9-5 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 25.0 points per game. As for Greensburg Salem, their victory bumped their record up to 9-7.
