Baseball Recap: Marist Makes It 11 in a Row at Home

Marist had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Southwest DeKalb Panthers with a sharp 13-3 win. That's two games straight that the War Eagles have won by exactly ten runs.

Marist's victory was their 11th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-5. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.6 runs over those games. As for Southwest DeKalb, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-12.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Marist will challenge Buford at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Southwest DeKalb, they will square off against Dougherty at 1:00 p.m. on the 12th.
