Baseball Recap: Whitewater Comes Up Short

Whitewater lost to New Berlin West back in May of 2022 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Whippets lost 21-2 to the Vikings. The Whippets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Whitewater saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Matt Carollo, who went 2-for-3 with one triple and one RBI.

Whitewater's defeat dropped their record down to 1-21. As for New Berlin West, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-12.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Whitewater will square off against Big Foot at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The Whippets' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Chiefs have averaged an impressive 6.5 runs per game this season. As for New Berlin West, they will challenge Oconomowoc at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
