Soccer Game Preview: Lincoln vs. Ripon

The Lincoln Fighting Zebras will face off against the Ripon Indians at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Lincoln is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They blew past Galt 6-1. Winning may never get old, but the Fighting Zebras sure are getting used to it with their seventh in a row.

They hit Galt with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Rhaya Everts (2), Alicia Osegueda (2), Kaylyn Hall, and Kaylee Jensen.

Meanwhile, Ripon's contest on Tuesday was close up to the half, which is when they kicked things up a notch. They never let El Camino onto the board and left with a 4-0 win. Given the Indians' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 153rd, while the Eagles are ranked 547th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Ripon pushed their record up to 18-4 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 41 goals over those ten matchups. As for Lincoln, their win bumped their record up to 16-2.
