Basketball Recap: Boron Takes a Loss

Boron lost against Desert back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Boron Bobcats came up short against the Desert Scorpions, falling 58-35. The Bobcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Desert was led to victory by Kalista Williams and Destiny Hart. Williams dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten steals, while Hart dropped a double-double on 25 points and ten rebounds. Hart is crushing it when it comes to boards: she's pulled down at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Keira Gamboa, who posted ten points and three steals.

Boron's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Desert, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.

Boron will host Kern Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Desert, they will venture away from home to face off against California City at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. California City has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the contest with three straight defeats, while Desert will come in with four straight wins.
