Baseball Recap: Washington Comes Up Short

Washington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They lost 8-0 to the Archbishop Hoban Knights. If the Tigers were looking for revenge after losing 6-1 to the Knights when the teams met back in May of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Washington's loss dropped their record down to 10-14. As for Archbishop Hoban, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 20-5.

Looking ahead, Washington will take on Waynedale at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Golden Bears' pitching crew has only allowed two runs per game this season, so the Tigers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Archbishop Hoban, they will face off against Olmsted Falls at 4:45 p.m. on Friday.
