La Serna is 10-0 against Whittier since February of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The La Serna Lancers will take on the Whittier Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

La Serna is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Bishop Amat just ended the team's six-game winning streak on Saturday. Neither they nor the Lancers could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 0-0 draw. The result kept La Serna happy, as they haven't lost a game since December 30, 2024.

Meanwhile, Whittier was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against El Rancho, falling 6-0. While losing is never fun, the Cardinals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 704th, while the Dons are ranked 79th).

La Serna's draw gives them a new season record of 9-7-2. As for Whittier, their loss dropped their record down to 6-9-2.

La Serna took their win against Whittier when the teams last played two weeks ago by a conclusive 4-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for La Serna since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
