Softball Recap: Coosa Comes Up Short

Coosa was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 26th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Fannin County Rebels, falling 11-2. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 19-5 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Coosa saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Genna Nicholson, who went 2-for-3 with one double. That double marked the first that Nicholson has hit this season.

Coosa's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Fannin County, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Coosa will challenge rival Gordon Central at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Fannin County is set to square off against their familiar foe Dade County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
