Basketball Recap: Shenango Comes Up Short

Shenango was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 36-31 heartbreaker at the hands of the Mohawk Area Warriors. The Wildcats lost against the Warriors in their previous head to head back in December of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 57-29 score last time.

Shenango's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Mohawk Area, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Shenango has already played their next match (against Freedom Area), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Mohawk Area has also has no score uploaded for their next game, this one against Ellwood City.
