Alameda has gone 8-2 against Encinal recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Alameda Hornets will head out to take on the Encinal Jets at 3:30 p.m.

Alameda will head out to face Encinal after giving up their first home loss of the season on Tuesday. Alameda had to suffer through a 79-47 loss at the hands of San Ramon Valley. While losing is never fun, the Hornets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 178th, while the Wolves are ranked 22nd).

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Encinal, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Hayward 52-21. The Jets pushed the score to 37-17 by the end of the third, a deficit the Farmers had little chance of recovering from.

Encinal now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Alameda, their loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 8-5.

Alameda took their win against Encinal in their previous matchup back in February of 2024 by a conclusive 65-43. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Encinal's Lola Whalen, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 11 rebounds.
