San Pasqual Valley posted their biggest win yet this season on Friday. They blew past Antelope 41-9 on the road. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win San Pasqual Valley has posted against Antelope since December 11, 2018.
San Pasqual Valley's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Daeja Villicana, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Villicana is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted two or more in the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kali Cortez, who scored eight points.
Meanwhile, Gila Ridge had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 30.3 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Wednesday. They walked away with a 44-34 win over Kofa.
San Pasqual Valley is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season. As for Gila Ridge, their victory bumped their record up to 10-2.
San Pasqual Valley came up short against Gila Ridge when the teams last played back in November of 2023, falling 55-46. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Gila Ridge's Bella DeCorse, who dropped a double-double on 29 points and 11 rebounds.
