Basketball Recap: Pinnacle Classical Academy Starts Season with Defeat on the Road

Pinnacle Classical Academy kicked off their season on the road on Thursday and hit a couple of potholes. They received a blow as they fell 48-29 to the Lake Lure Classical Academy Raptors. If the Eagles were looking for revenge after losing 53-40 to the Raptors when the teams met back in February, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Pinnacle Classical Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Ashilyn Lee, who made all 6 shots he took for 12 points. He is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last four games he's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Nathan Ngeno, who posted nine points.

Ashawn Camp was a one-man wrecking crew For Lake Lure Classical Academy. as he dropped a double-double with 15 points and 18 boards. Elijah Hill- Moore was another key player, going 7-for-11 to rack up 15 points and eight rebounds.

The win got Lake Lure Classical Academy back to even at 1-1.

Pinnacle Classical Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 47-40 victory against Christian Family Academy on the 14th. As for Lake Lure Classical Academy, they will take on Community Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
