Softball Recap: Twin River Comes Up Short

Aquinas hit Twin River with a six-run fifth inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Titans took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Monarchs. The loss continues a trend for the Titans in their meetings with the Monarchs: they've now lost three in a row.

Twin River saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aubree Brandenburger, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI. Adalyn Bishop also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Twin River's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Aquinas, they moved to 3-5 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Coming up, Twin River will take on York at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Aquinas, they will be taking part in a tournament against Skutt Catholic at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. The SkyHawks will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
