Basketball Game Preview: Wayne Blue Devils vs. Wahoo Warriors

Wayne is 2-8 against Wahoo since December of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Blue Devils will challenge the Warriors at 6:00 p.m. Wahoo took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Wayne, who comes in off a win.

Wayne is headed into the matchup after thoroughly thrashing Wakefield: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Blue Devils blew the Trojans out of the water with a 55-19 final score. The Blue Devils haven't had any issues with the Trojans recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Wahoo played a tough game on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by Norris 63-29. The defeat continues a trend for the Warriors in their meetings with the Titans: they've now lost three in a row.

Wayne will have to contain Addy Hancock as she made an impact in Wahoo's last game. She posted 12 points. Another player making a difference was Tailan Roberts, who put up seven points.

Wahoo now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Wayne, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Wayne ended up a good deal behind Wahoo when the teams last played back in February, losing 50-31. Can the Blue Devils avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
