Basketball Preview: University Trojans vs. Northwood Timberwolves
University is 2-8 against Northwood since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The two teams will face off at 12:00 p.m. without much rest having both just played. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
University is headed into the contest having just suffered their closest loss since November 21st on Friday. They fell just short of La Quinta by a score of 28-26. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Julia Holmes, who posted six points along with six boards and five blocks. She is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted two or more in the last three games she's played. Ai Miyano was another key player, putting up eight points and four steals.
Meanwhile, Northwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 45-34 hit to the loss column at the hands of San Dieguito Academy.
Northwood's loss dropped their record down to 3-13. As for University, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-12.
Things could have been worse for University, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 51-32 loss to Northwood in their previous matchup on December 11th. Can University avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
